I wouldn't say I was classically trained, but what I would say is that art school killed my creativity. I spent so much time trying to learn how to gain the approval of the big publishing companies that I stopped creating for myself.

Anyway, I was working on a Pinterest Board or something and I was showing my mom these cute illustrations and I can't remember what was said, but a light bulb went on and I started to think "Hey, I could do that."
This may sound crazy, but Zazzle has really freed me to be creative. You can put carp on their website and no body will say, "boo". They may ignore you, but nobody will criticize you, at least not to your face.

I spent too much money on Manga for the Beginner Kawaii. How to Draw the Supercute Characters of Japanese Comics. The next thing you know I'm having fun creating again.
Here is the first little guy of my own. I drew him/her/it in honor of coming fall and all. I'm working on a sketch about a french acorn and maybe a kite on a windy day and maybe some leaves falling on a windy day.
